For Emery's 7th birthday, Joel went and had lunch with Emery and brought some cupcakes for his class. Emery felt pretty special having his Dad there and decorated his cupcakes with lots of sprinkles! He did a great job later waiting until everyone was home before opening his gifts. Then on Saturday he had his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's. He had his friends Tyler and Taylor there and Tyler's little sister Elena came to keep Lucy company. They had a wonderful time playing games, earning tickets, eating pizza, and seeing Chuck E. Cheese's little show. But Emery was most excited about getting to go in the ticket blaster machine. Julie and Emery caught as many tickets as they could! And they did pretty good, getting several hundred. He also felt pretty special to wear his crown and medal. It was a good time for everyone! Although Andy was a little tired since he missed a nap to be there.
Emery is smart and funny. He loves to be a big brother to Lucy and Andrew. Some of his favorite things to do are read and ride his bike. We are so glad he's in our family!
