July

We started out the month with Grandma Kathy coming to get Emery. Before they left we planned to go to Heritage park for our annual 4th of July fireworks and symphony orchestra. But it was rained out! Boo. After grandma and Emery left Lucy really loved all the time with Mommy! But, by the end she was excited to have him come back home. We filled our time with the pool, trips to the library, games, and lots of dress up! When Grandma brought Emery home we had a few more day of fun with her before she went back to Nevada. Andy really loved getting to know her! Grandma even taught him patty-cake, which is now his favorite song! It is so cute!

Emery's trip to Nevada and Utah

Emery was able to go for a visit to see his grandparents in Nevada and Utah again this year. Grandma Kathy came and picked him up on July 2 and brought him back on the 25th. The pictures above are some of what he took while there. He had so much fun and probably didn't really want to come home! Some of the things he did while there: Neff/Jensen reunion, playing with cousins, 4-wheeling with grandpa, working with grandpa on fences/grain/cows/horses etc, helping grandma in the garden and cleaning house, swimming, and went to Elko twice (saw Despicable Me 2 and got Dairy Queen). He even earned some money. He put most of it away in savings for his mission. 

He also was able to see grandma Debbie and grandpa Paul in Utah the day before he flew home. They took him to ride a Ferris wheel and merry-go-round, get pizza and and icee, and do fireworks, sparkler, and pops. He slept over at their house and loved to play ping pong and pool! He even had his bath in their big Jacuzzi tub with jets! He was so glad he got to have the day with them!

"Andy is sooo cutie!"

"I'm free (3) years old! On my birthday tomorrow, I'll be four years old!"

"When I grow up, I'll have big hair like you!"

"You're my best friend!"

"Are you happy at me?"

"Hold me."

"I'm your best helper!"

"When Andy grows up, he'll be a walking boy and a talking boy!"

"Can I turn the garage off?"

"I have a cough throat. I need some Elderberry!"

Andrew: 9 months

Andrew is really getting around now! Along with crawling, he is pulling up on everything he can find! Toys are less interesting as he really loves to explore his surroundings. He is 20 lbs. (40th percentile) and 31" tall (99th percentile)! Drool is a constant part of life, but it doesn't seem to bother him much. He loves to be around people! He doesn't mind being held by someone new (as long as it isn't time to nap or nurse). His sleeping schedule hasn't changed this month, but he is eating more! Along with the 4-5 nursings, he has about 4oz of baby food 3 times a day. Plus some snacks here and there. He really is just my most happy baby! He is generally content with life. He didn't even cry when he had his 2 shots at his check-up. He just stared at the pretty nurses and their fun and colorful scrubs :) He is a little charmer all ready! People always comment on his big smile and cute fluffy hair. It stands straight up on top and is so soft!
