The greatest show on earth!

Emery and Lucy had the chance to go to the circus with their dad! Before the show, they loved watching the elephants paint pictures, watch the clowns, and other acts. They had great seats a few rows up from the front too. Lucy's favorite part was the elephants and Emery loved the tigers. And they both loved cotton candy and suckers! Not only did they get time with daddy, but they got to stay up late past their bed time too. What more could a kid want? It was a fun time for them all!

More January

What a month! I'm pretty sure all 3 kids are teething! 6 year-old molars, 2 year-old molars, and new baby teeth. AHHH! We have lots of fussing, tears, and mommy going crazy!
But, we did have some fun times. Lucy loves to dress up almost everyday. And most of the time she can be found with a skirt and accessories.  She has been needing more one-on-one time lately so we've been going to story time at the library, park day with church friends, and doing other fun things at home. I haven't done as many things with her as I did with Emery at her age, but after looking back through my blog I found some ideas and we are trying to find time to do something together every day. Emery has been riding the bus for a few weeks and loving it. And I'm pretty happy about all the time and gas I've saved! Emery is increasingly bored with toys so I've had to get a little creative to help him pass the time lately. I put down a tape road for his cars one day, which they loved. I try to encourage him to do some things by himself, like puzzles and legos too.  Andy and Lucy love to walk down to the bus stop with me at 2:55pm to pick him up. The kids still beg to hold baby Andrew, but with everyone passing around sickness, we try to limit it some too. Andy does love to be held though! He has also discovered he loves to try and stand up with help, play/stare/mouth toys and watch lights!

January fun

Almost every day, Lucy asks to go to the zoo or playground. We had a few days of upper 60's so we took advantage and headed over to the zoo after Emery got out of school one day. They loved running to each animal and climbing up on the stoop to get a better look.  It was perfect cloudy weather and even Andy enjoyed rolling around in his stroller. It was Emery's first time seeing the baby giraffe, Kiko. So cute!

I usually post happy, smiling photos, but man, our Lucy girl has a good stink eye look! She is growing into a sassy little girl for sure! Andy favors us with tons of smiles these days and we think he is the cutest!! He's getting better at tummy time and building up that neck strength. And, with all those wiggles lately, he occasionally rolls to his side. The confused look on his face when he rolls back is so funny! I haven't caught it yet on camera. I'll keep trying :)

Andrew: three months

Andrew is our happy-go-lucky little man! He loves to kick his feet and put his hands in his mouth. With quite a bit of drool, we think he's probably teething! No sign of any little white teeth popping through just yet though. He spits up quite a bit, but is a "happy spitter". Well, as long as I remember to give him his gas drops after each feeding! He's kicking up his feet and rolling onto his side now. Some mornings I find him all turned around in his crib. During tummy time he can lift his head up pretty well, but still doesn't really like it much. Andy weighs about 15 1/2 lbs and fits in size 9-12mo. clothes! We moved him into size 3 diapers since the twos weren't keeping everything in! His hair is getting longer, but thiner. Quite a bit has fallen out lately. He has slept through the night several times, which makes mommy very happy. He still only likes his pacifier when he's sleepy. He doesn't like his arm to be swaddled anymore, so he sleeps in his zip up sleep sack. Toys are starting to become interesting and he loves to stare and bat at them. Occasionally he'll get a hold of one too! He is happy being held by anyone but does prefer mommy when hungry :)
