Our last day in Paris we took the long ride on the metro out to Versailles. It was my favorite thing we saw! It was a rainy day, but we braved it! I only wish we could have seen more of the gardens. I suppose if we ever come back we should come when it's spring or summer so we can enjoy the gardens too! I loved seeing all the fancy and ornate decor. And then seeing the Queen's Hamlet which is very modest and farm-like. That wasn't open either to see, but I would love to see more of that another time.
This trip was amazing and exhausting! Between being pregnant and just the sheer amount of walking around all day for several days was very taxing! But, I'm glad we got to go and see some awesome sites!
We spent our last evening going out to a little fancier restaurant, where we had the most delicious meal! I had duck and Joel had steak. Both were so good! For dessert I had the creme brulee trio and Joel had a french toast with pear sorbet. Both were pretty amazing! It was a great end to our 10th anniversary trip to France!
